+ Primary Grades Teacher Aide

Saint Henry School in Nashville, serving 580 students pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, is seeking an experienced, efficient, and effective aide for the primary grade teachers who is willing to work hard to bring learning to life and collaborate with a highly qualified professional learning community in a supportive school environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support teachers in caring for the students through various assigned duties, including instructional support, clerical tasks, maintenance of the classroom and materials, and supervision of students.

  • Demonstrate familiarity with the curriculum, methodology of teachers, school schedule, and resources used by the teachers.

  • As directed by teachers, work with individual students or small groups to reinforce curricular concepts, check student work and provide information to the teacher, and monitor completion of make-up work and assessments.

+ Middle School English Teacher

Saint Henry School is seeking an experienced, innovative, and passionate Middle School English/Language Arts and Literature teacher for Seventh Grade willing to work hard to bring learning to life and collaborate with a highly qualified professional learning community in a supportive school environment. The teacher will design a curriculum in line with the Diocese of Nashville Curriculum Guide, vertically aligned with grades 5-8 and plan lessons that are engaging, deepen understanding and critical thinking, and are integrated with technology. The Language Arts teacher will work collaboratively with the middle school team of teachers and partner with parents to communicate student successes and areas of growth. REQUIREMENTS

  1. Minimum of 3 years teaching English/Language Arts, preferably at the Middle School level
  2. Valid TN Teaching License with English Credential and/or Multiple Subject Credential
  3. Experience with differentiated instruction
  4. Strong classroom management skills
  5. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  6. Technology skills and ability to integrate technology into the instructional experiences

PREFERRED

  1. Active Catholic
  2. Masters or other Advanced Degree

+ Dining Hall Assistant Cook

Saint Henry School is seeking an experienced, energetic person for the position of Assistant Cook. This position will assist the Head Cook in preparing lunch for approximately 200-225 elementary school students per day. This will be a full-time position.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. A basic knowledge of food preparation
  2. Ability to lift heavy items

PREFERRED

  1. Active Catholic
  2. Experience in food service
