Saint Henry School is a Catholic Elementary School in the Diocese of Nashville located in West Meade, a suburb in West Nashville, between Belle Meade and Bellevue. Saint Henry School (SHS) provides academic excellence over 680 children from pre-kindergarten through the eighth grade. Saint Henry School is staffed by the Dominican Sisters of the Saint Cecilia Congregation of Nashville and numerous lay teachers.

Congratulations to our Varsity Soccer Team who won 1st in the regular season and 1st in the DAC tournament.

The Saint Henry Science Olympiad team took 4th place at the Regional Competition.  Our medal winners placed in 15 out of 23 events.  Congratulations to Chelsea Dongas, Zoie Diaz, Kaki Catalano, Felix Wilson, Garrett Andrews, Grant Andrews, Lucas Daggs, Ian Vaillancourt, Daniel Cooley, Becky Catalano, Rafe Larkin, Sophia Liberatore, Aidan Labadie, Ian Boer, My-Lan Le, Ava Durelli, and Ian Johnston!

The Saint Henry Forensics Team took 2nd place overall in the Championship meet.  The one act play, "Annie", ranked 5th in the category and Mary Jean Moles was named Best Actor.  Individual category winners:  Elle Beierlein - 1st in Audition; Lillian Hertzog and Isabella Kelly - 1st in Duet Improv; Olivia Zimberg and Chris Muller - 3rd in Duet Acting; McKenna Braeuner - 1st in Dramatic Interpretation; Sam Skelley - 2nd in Humorous Interpretation; Ben Gregg - 2nd in Mime; Phillip Lewis - 5th in Original Oratory; Frank Perazzini - 6th in Prose; Adam Gild - 3rd in Impromptu; and Mary Jean Moles - 6th in Storytelling.

Phillip Rogers placed 1st in 8th grade Word Problems and Dominic Allocco placed 3rd in the 7th grade Word Problems at Father Ryan Math Day.  Congratulations to both boys!

Congratulations to Emily Fair (7Sm) (artwork – mixed media, encaustics, “Sunflower”) and Kate Connor (8O) (artwork – mixed media, paper collage, “Loki”) whose artwork has been chosen to be on display at the 7th Annual Middle Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibition.  Their work will be on view at The Belmont Mansion on January 17 and 18, 2015.  Nineteen schools submitted artwork and 58 artworks on display at the exhibition.

Congratulations to Lucas Daggs for being awarded the Father Giacosa Sports Leader Award.  The Sports Leader Award is focused on instilling Catholic virtues at the heart of our athletic program and recognizing that Strength comes through Virtue.  Some of those virtues include Courage, Humility, Charity, Service, and Leadership.

Congratulations to our 7th/8th grade football team who defeated Saint Joseph 15-8 in the Champsionship game.  In addition to taking 1st place in the tournament our 7th/8th grade team also finished first place in the parochial league regular season.  Eleven of our football players will represent Saint Henry in the All Star game.

Congratulations to both our 5/6th grade and 7/8th grade Football teams who won their games this weekend. This means our 7/8th grade team are 5-0 in the Parochial standings which puts them in first place.  
Congratulations to our Cross Country team who had many runners place in the city meet as well as a 2nd place overall for the girls and 1st place overall for the boys.  Individuals who placed were:

Our 6th-8th grade Cross Country team qualified and participated in the State Cross Country meet in Knoxville.  The Varsity boys team finished 8th in the state and the JV boys finished 6th.  Nick Sieders finished 2nd and Luke Mryncza finished 6th.

Congratulations to our Diocesan Forensic Team.  The team placed 2nd overall and everyone who entered placed in their individual category.
