“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11

Hand in Hand Options Program

Saint Henry School seeks to provide a high-quality Catholic education to all members of our faith community. The Hand in Hand Options Program provides an inclusive education at Saint Henry for our students with intellectual, cognitive, and developmental disabilities. Students are provided with a high-quality Catholic education, addressing academic, spiritual, emotional, and social needs.

A Partnership Built on Faith and Community

Saint Henry School views the education of the child as a lifelong journey. In partnering with families, our general education teachers and special education teachers at Saint Henry can provide an inclusive learning environment that grows a culture of community and belonging for all. Students with and without disabilities are members of one school family, building fellowship and forming lifelong friendships.

Education for All Learners

Students in our Hand in Hand Options program are provided with an education built on the goals of each individual student, tailored to the specific needs of the child. Their academics are not contingent upon an adherence to the curriculum standards of the Diocese. Each student has the option to participate fully with their peers in the classroom, and they are given additional support and modifications to curriculum based on individual needs. Direct support services are provided for Math, Language Arts, Executive Functioning and Social Emotional Learning. Each child is given the opportunity to be a full member of the student body, participating in sports, clubs, and all extra curriculars. Through this inclusive model, we can build a Christ-centered community where every child feels loved, supported, and welcome.
