“We moved to Nashville 10.5 years ago from St. Paul, MN, without knowing anyone. At the time, our girls were in 4th, 2nd, and pre-kindergarten, and we were filled with fear and uncertainty about whether we were making the right decision for our family.
What we found was a very welcoming, faith-based community that embraced not only our kids but us adults as well. St. Henry offered our children opportunities in sports, drama, music, and academics, but most importantly, it provided them with a solid foundation in their Catholic faith and a deep understanding of what it means to serve.
This nurturing environment set up our oldest two daughters to experience “Search” in high school and serve for “Room in the Inn.” The St. Henry community also led my husband and me to experience “Cursillo,” which has been a profound part of our faith journey.
We have immense gratitude for the St. Henry School and Parish for welcoming us with open arms. We hope to give back in the same way we were embraced by this wonderful community.”

“Our family joined Saint Henry School at a potentially difficult time for our kids to transition to a new school - our son was entering 8th grade and our daughter was entering 3rd grade. Thankfully, though, our fears were completely unfounded. Saint Henry’s teachers and staff and the students and their families have been so warm and welcoming. It is a large school, but we have been amazed at the personal level at which the teachers and students interact. Volunteering in the school cafeteria for a day will warm your heart as you watch the interactions between students and staff. There is a tangible feeling of love and respect for everyone. You can really see it in how the students interact with each other (especially how the older students interact with the younger ones) and how the kids all interact with adults (including parents). We also love that there are so many opportunities available to the students - sports, drama, and church youth group activities just to name a few.
