If Halloween ended at dismissal today, our Tigers would probably be OK! Thank you to our Home and School Association and all our parents for the awesome Trunk or Treak! HAVE FUN & HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM TIGER TOWN!
Today we all enjoyed our 5th Graders' Saints Museum. Each student shared the inspirational and sometimes heroic stories and facts about their favorite saints. Saints serve as role models for living a virtuous life, provide a way to ask for intercession through prayer, and show that struggles can be overcome or faced with faith. Thank you, 5th Grade, for teaching us about your favorite saints!

CONGRATS, TIGERS! FROM THE FIELD TO FORENSICS TO SPELLING PHENOMS AND FABULOUS INVENTORS - our Tigers always show their stripes! Congrats to our Varsity Flag Football Team for winning the championship, to our Forensic Team for the many awards at the JPII Tournament, to our spelling bee winner and runner up, and to our Invention Convention Inventors, many of whom are moving onto the next level of competition at MTSU (hope to have a picture of the next competition). We are so proud of you!

1st graders explored the characteristics of living things by observing earthworms! They measured the length, counted the segments, and recorded their observations. Through this activity, students learned how to identify traits of living things—such as how they move, grow, and respond to their environment. It was a great way to connect real-world experiences to our science unit. It sure was a fun, wiggly, and educational experience!

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR VERY OWN CONNOR EMMONS (5th Grade) for being awarded the National Medal of Heroism from Scouting America, formerly known as Boy Scouts of America. This award is presented to those that exhibit heroism and skill in saving someone’s life. During swim lessons this past summer a young girl swam to the deep end of the pool and was struggling to get to safety. Connor saw that she started to go below the surface of the water and she could not touch the bottom of the pool. He called for help but no one responded, so he took action and swam over to her. He was able to get a hold of the young girl and pull her to the side of the pool. Please join us in celebrating Connor on this prestigious award. We are so proud of you! “A Scout is never taken by surprise; he knows exactly what to do when anything unexpected happens.”-Lord Robert Baden-Powell, Founder of the Boys Scouts
The Senior Luncheon is a beautiful tradition at Saint Henry Church. Our 8th grade boys have the privilege of serving our special guests and our PreK makes a special appearance too!
