Did you know? Each week, our Pastor, Fr. Eric Fowlkes, takes time to visit our classrooms throughout Saint Henry School! This week, Sister John Mary joined Father for a visit to Mrs. Penne’s Robotics class, where students had the opportunity to show him what they’ve been working on and spend a little time visiting with him. We are so grateful to have our Pastor as such a consistent and joyful presence in the life of our school, from his weekly classroom visits to celebrating All School Mass with us each week. It was an extra special week for our Kindergarteners! 💛🐯 For the very first time, they attended All School Mass with their 8th Grade Buddies by their side. ⛪️ One of the sweetest traditions at Saint Henry is our Kindergarten & 8th Grade Buddy program. Throughout the year, our youngest Tigers get to attend All School Mass and share special moments with our oldest students, forming a bond that is truly special to watch. Our Kindergarteners look up to their 8th Grade Buddies, and we love seeing the kindness, patience, and joy our 8th graders show their little buddies in return. There was something especially meaningful about watching them attend Mass together for the first time; little hands in big hands walking into church and praying side by side. These are the traditions and relationships that make Saint Henry School such a special place. 🐯💛🖤

What a special visit! 💛 Yesterday, we were blessed to welcome Dominican Sisters visiting from Hungary to Saint Henry School. It was such a joy to welcome them to our campus and share some of the many special things happening at Saint Henry School. During their visit, the Sisters spent time in several of our classrooms and received an overview of our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program from Sr. Aimee Marie, an important part of the faith formation experience for our PreK and 2nd Grade students. This summer, our PreK team attended "PreK Rocks", a three-day professional development conference featuring sessions on social-emotional growth, math, science, and literacy. Today our Saint Henry School faculty and staff gathered at Camp Marymount for our annual Faculty & Staff Retreat. It was a meaningful day filled with prayer, fellowship, thoughtful conversations, and opportunities to strengthen the relationships that make our school family so special. We were blessed to celebrate Mass together and grateful for an engaging presentation from our wonderful school counselors, Erica Hazlehurst and Grace Gaccetta, who led us in important discussions about fostering a positive and supportive school community. We're proud to share that our wonderful music teachers, Carol Ann Jones and Maddie Sampson, recently traveled to New York City to participate in the prestigious Carnegie Hall Summer Music Educators Workshop. Joining more than 160 music educators from across the country and around the world, they spent four inspiring days collaborating with fellow music teachers, exploring innovative teaching strategies, and discovering new ways to engage and inspire students through music. We are so grateful for their commitment to lifelong learning and for the passion they bring back to our music program.
