PreK3 with their 6th grade buddies creating Blow/Straw Paintings in rainbow colors while talking about God keeping His promise from Noah's story of the flood. "Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life." Genesis 9:14-15

Our Pre-Kindergarteners enjoyed hosting Donuts with Dads, which is always a special time for them to celebrate dads, uncles, grandpas, any special male role model in their precious lives. "Being a role model is the most important powerful form of educating."

It was an exciting weekend for Saint Henry School's FIRST LEGO League teams! Both teams competed at the State Championship tournament and our TIGERS "Black" team won 3rd Place in Robot Design! Judges complimented both teams on their teamwork, research of high-impact innovation projects, and perseverance overcoming challenges and obstacles throughout the season. Our TIGERS enjoyed a tour of Tennessee Tech's motorsports laboratory where they met with Tech students to learn about their Formula One and Baja racing projects, participated in a hands-on cybersecurity project using Arduino Unos and C++ coding language, and met the Dean of Electrical Engineering to learn how middle school robotics scales into college capstone projects and career opportunities. Of course, no visit to a college campus would be complete without a visit to the dining hall! Way to go, TIGERS!
Today we celebrated a very special all-school Mass to honor the 100th year celebration of Father Ryan High School. Several SHS alumni who currently attend Father Ryan participated in the Mass, welcoming, reading, and bringing up the gifts. We took group pictures with our alumni and the many Father Ryan alumni that joined us for Mass. Our 7th and 8th graders enjoyed a special presentation by Paul Davis and Lucy Trailov (SHS '2021) as well as a treat and some fellowship with the past Tigers and Father Ryan staff that came to Tiger Town. Thank you and Congratulations @fatherryanhighschool ! Here's to many many more years! Go Irish! And to our alumni, #ONCEATIGERALWAYSATIGER !
Today, the last day of Catholic Schools Week, we celebrated with our FAITH RALLY! From mass, to the procession of the Blessed Sacrament, adoration, catechesis in our mixed grade community groups, time outside, Benediction, and the grand finale of praise and worship all together in the gym; it was a beautiful Faith Rally and a great Catholic Schools Week! It should also be noted that our SOUP-er Bowl for the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry was a tremendous successful. Our students brought in 1,590 cans of soup. It was a Girls v. Boys competition. While girls had the lead all week, BOYS TOOK THE WIN, the last day, bringing in a total of 825 cans of soup! Way to go, TIGERS!

Another time-honored tradition at Tiger Town during Catholic Schools Week is THE VOLLEYBALL GAME! The 8th grade homerooms challenge each other for the trophy! The winner challenges the faculty. Sister's 8th grade homeroom won the trophy and played against the faculty where faculty won bragging rights until next year. Start practicing 7th graders! It's all in fun. The crowd was electric!
We kicked off this 4th day of Catholic Schools Week with a longstanding tradition at Tiger Town, THE 100TH DAY OF KINDERGARTEN PARADE! All students line the hallway and cheer to celebrate just how much these Tigers have matured since they started kindergarten.
Our Tigers are going places! Today they dressed in garb from places they have been or want to go to! The SOUP-er Bowl competition continues, girls still in lead, but really everyone wins with this collection competition! We celebrated our service to others with various projects benefitting the needy in our community. Our 2nd and 7th graders represented us well at the All School Mass with Bishop Spalding. And we enjoyed a parade by some of our PreK3 students to celebrate the lunar new year. Catholic Schools Week sure is a busy one!

Our Tigers have a very BRIGHT future! Today they dressed in bright colors to celebrate that fact! We kicked off our SOUP-er Bowl collection and competition (boys versus girls). Girls currently in the lead. Boys are not far behind. All soup collected goes to our St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry. There is no denying they are all bound to make a great difference in this world! We also celebrated our faculty and staff. Special thanks to our parent association for providing a delicious lunch.

In appreciation of our parents during Catholic Schools week they were greeted with flowers and a note of thanks for all that they do written by students. Students also had some fun but dressing up like their parents for school today, a funny twist on "parent appreciation."

ITS CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK! And today at Tiger Town we celebrate our GREAT parents! Mom and Dan, we hope you enjoy this special message. 💛🐯🖤
