"Mele Kalikimaka," says our Elf! We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas break!
Only THREE days until Christmas break! The countdown feels so special with our students arriving each morning, eyes wide open trying to see where our elf is hiding! The countdown continues and Christmas magic is definitely in the air at Tiger Town!
Only 4 days to go until Christmas break and our Tiger Town Elf is clearly on duty spreading holiday cheer! Commuters were doing double-takes as they head off to work with big smiles after spotting him. These tiny moments of joy are what make our Elf's countdown to Christmas break extra special! Can't wait until tomorrow! Where will he be?
Our favorite elf has returned, which can only mean one thing… Christmas break is almost here! From the great Christmas Concert and Kindergarten Christmas Show to the Advent Angels, Kindness Ninjas and St. Nick spreading cheer - Tiger Town is full of Christmas spirit! 🐯✨Wonder where our elf will be tomorrow!

CONGRATULATIONS MR. COOMES! We’re proud to share that our very own Mr. Cody Coomes has been selected as one of 14 educators statewide appointed by Secretary of State Tre Hargett to the Civic Education and Engagement Advisory Committee! Secretary Hargett noted the committee was created “to build a more engaged citizenry in Tennessee” and expressed gratitude for the educators’ dedication to serving students across the state. Thank you for your leadership and passion for civic education, Mr. Coomes!

WE THANK GOD FOR THE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN WHO SERVE OUR COUNTRY WITH FAITH AND COURAGE! Students wrote thank you notes for veterans and had the privilege of giving one to our own PreK3 teacher, Mrs. Tracy (an 8 year Army Reservist and hearing a special presentation from one of our security officers and veteran, Josh Hanson, Mr. Hanson is a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and served 20 years and 13 days in the military. He spent his first 4 years as a Fire Fighter in the Air Force and, after the attacks on 9-11, Mr. Hanson spent the majority of his time supporting the 101st Airborne (AASLT). He received 3 Bronze Stars, 2 Army Commendation Medals, and an Air Force Commendation Medal. Thank you to all veterans for protecting us our freedom!
Even though today feels more like winter, we’re remembering the cozy colors (and slightly warmer days) of fall! Our PreK3 students had a wonderful time exploring autumn through leaf play and pumpkin crafts last week.
Today we enjoyed mass and a special visit with Bishop Mark Spalding. As always, he shared an important life lessons with all of us. Parents, be sure to ask your Tigers what they learned today! Thank you @bpspalding !

If Halloween ended at dismissal today, our Tigers would probably be OK! Thank you to our Home and School Association and all our parents for the awesome Trunk or Treak! HAVE FUN & HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM TIGER TOWN!

Today we all enjoyed our 5th Graders' Saints Museum. Each student shared the inspirational and sometimes heroic stories and facts about their favorite saints. Saints serve as role models for living a virtuous life, provide a way to ask for intercession through prayer, and show that struggles can be overcome or faced with faith. Thank you, 5th Grade, for teaching us about your favorite saints!
CONGRATS, TIGERS! FROM THE FIELD TO FORENSICS TO SPELLING PHENOMS AND FABULOUS INVENTORS - our Tigers always show their stripes! Congrats to our Varsity Flag Football Team for winning the championship, to our Forensic Team for the many awards at the JPII Tournament, to our spelling bee winner and runner up, and to our Invention Convention Inventors, many of whom are moving onto the next level of competition at MTSU (hope to have a picture of the next competition). We are so proud of you!
1st graders explored the characteristics of living things by observing earthworms! They measured the length, counted the segments, and recorded their observations. Through this activity, students learned how to identify traits of living things—such as how they move, grow, and respond to their environment. It was a great way to connect real-world experiences to our science unit. It sure was a fun, wiggly, and educational experience!
